an attempt at irony, poking fun at the f-you/egomaniacle attitudes of some of punk rock and skateboardings greatest. tony alva particularly came to mind...tasteless yes, serious no.

sarcasm and iron just don't seem to come across well here. must develop some sort of code for that...like an undertone, "please throw tomatoes at me i am not serious at all"

well..if all your readers were skater insiders that might work..they probably get this particular sarcasm...(tho ti still might be tastless).....but...since it is a public blog...and well...some of us might just not be all too informed enough about egomaniacal skaters and such....yeah..it doens't work.

True too that sarcasm doens't work well in written form unless some key phrases are invoked or it is something outlandish but with enough general information...to make it clear.

its a public blog but its also my blog...sorry to come across like an arse as apparantly this only makes sense to me.

Hmmmm..yes..

The reference to "public" was soley intended by me to refer to your readership, not authorship or to imply sensorship.

"Public" meant to refer to those, like myself, who are common joe schmoes and not always well informed about the intricacies of various aspects of alternative culture and hence totally misunderstand your intent.

Goes with the territory of blogs I suppose....private..yet...very public.

Sometimes it surprises me how transparent and vulnerable people are on some of the blogs I peruse. Quite intriguing.
