jess and i went to chicago today. FLLW house in oak park is awesome, deep dish pizza place down the street is not, couldn't wait 45 min for the deep dish chicago experience so sandwiches and salads had to suffice. downtown is amazing, paying 13 bucks to park for 2 hours is not. hanging in the windy city is great, getting rained on is not. ah kripes, enough is enough. skate nerds will recognize the sculpture from Patrick Melcher's part in Black Out. Movie geeks will recognize the road under the train from the original French Connection. wish we had more time/money/energy to check out the city. so much there.

Wow, sounds like you had quite a whirlwind day..... and enough time, energy and money for at least a glimpse of what the windy city has to offer. One day can hardly do it justice, I am sure ( I had only 3 hours!) but at least you saw a bit of it and experienced a few things and you got to see lots more the the Oak Park FLLW scene than we did! Awesome!
