The Oxford English Dictionary describes a cynic as a person "disposed to rail or find fault" and as one who "shows a disposition to disbelieve in the sincerity or goodness of human motives and actions, and is wont to express this by sneers and sarcasm."

Perhaps it's the heat and fumes going to your head? Painting in 93 degrees has got to be the root of it.
I will have to check out that self test b/c after reading that description I emailed to you I think I may be too. I think for me it started with beign raised by a non-conformist mother and father and then a lot has to do with 25 years of being a therapist...and then..well..the past year .... has solidified it....making beign a cynic seem like the preferred perspective.......I'll you know what my test result is :-)
I am happy to report that I am a cynic too. That self-test is very funny and I agree with most of it. It thought it interesting that many of the statements had to do with the disparity of wealth. It certainly is a punishment of society to underpay the most well-intentioned people. I really liked their definition too: An idealist whose rose-colored glasses have been removed, snapped in two, and stomped into the ground immediately improving his (or her, excuse me) vision.
